The Redbud Bluegrass Festival is sponsored by the
Saxapahaw Community Chest,a non profit 501(3)C
organization promoting recreational activities for youth.
Donations are tax exempt and welcome.
The Saxapahaw Community Chest was formed in the 1930's by the late U.S. Senator B. Everett Jordan. The Buddy Collins Community Center, the B.E. Jordan ball fields and the Ben Bulla Scout Cabin have been supported by the Community Chest since being donated by Senator Jordan over 60 years ago. Thanks to the dedication of the many volenteers thourghout those years, thousands of children have enjoyed healthy, fun and safe activities including baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, Cub Scouts, Brownies, Boy and Girl Scouts and Explorers.
The Saxapahaw Community Chest is supported by private donations, fund raisers, party rental fees and the REDBUD FESTIVAL. Thank you for your help in maintaining this community tradition.
